In the book, Glaser takes readers on a spiritual journey by telling his own “coming home” story, which started decades ago after he reconnected with his Judaism. "The Joy of Judaism" offers a comprehensive overview of Jewish life, discussing theology, prayer, holidays, rituals, lifecycle events, affiliation, and parenting, told through Glaser’s unique lens. With vibrant storytelling, he opens the door for the reader to share the adventure of a life fully lived.

Filled with humor and insight from Glaser’s career and personal life, the book includes stories about his creative process, his concerts in an average of 50 cities each year and his experience as a dedicated husband and father. Each of the seventy chapters of “The Joy of Judaism” opens with a link to a free download of a relevant song from his vast discography.

Praise for the book comes from Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, Former Chief Rabbi of the UK, who says, “Sam Glaser, who for years has lifted us with the music of the soul, here takes us on an extended journey of the soul, with his inspiring diary of a life full of encounters with the divine. 'The Joy of Judaism' is a testimony to the power of Judaism to etch life with wonder and make the spirit sing.”

To commemorate the book's release, Glaser's concert tour, "The Power of the Soul Tour," kicks off in September 2019, throughout North America and Israel. Glaser has performed on Broadway, at the White House, Dodger Stadium, Staples Center and Greek Theater, and national conventions for the Orthodox Union, Hadassah, CAJE, General Assembly, Biennial and the Central Conference of American Rabbis. Considered one of the top ten Jewish artists in the U.S. by Moment Magazine, Sam’s soulful music has become part of the fabric of Jewish life in communities worldwide.
